So I decided to bring in Roland from Roland’s HVAC to break it all down. If your home still uses the old R22 refrigerant (like many built before 2010), this is something you need to know. R22 has been phased out, and now R32 is the standard — which means replacing an old AC unit isn’t as simple as it used to be.
